I am new to the NWN2 toolset and am still learning a little about interior lighting. I was wondering how can I make certain interiors darker than the default so that areas lit by toarches and other lighting features get a more dramatic feel?

Right click your area in the area-panel and choose properties.

Oh, and I don't have access to toolset right now so I'll try to remember everything the best I can.

When the properties window opens up, open the Day/Night Cycles settings (click the +). From there open the Default settings. You'll see various different variables you can change. What you're looking for are propably Ground Light, Sky Light and Sun Light.

I suggest you change the tints of those settings instead of messing with the intensity and specular colors. Select a darker color and try diffferent shades to see what gives you the effect you're looking for.

Oh, and if you create a new area, you must first save it, close it and open it again in the toolset before you can see the changes in lighting. I hope I helped! <:
