I have been a DM almost 20 years, and have run perhaps 2 dozen campaigns, most with 20+ adventures, before I got online . . .
Soon I will begin to share their histories, and I think this forum would be a great place to detail peoples past adventures . . . could get good ideas for new ones!
I ran things from historical FR campaigns (one in which the elves tried to prevent thr Crown Wars and the decent of the Illythir) to ones 100 years in its furture where drow took over Cormanthyr using Elminster to power a artifact which drew off his energy mmuahaha . . .
I would love to hear about all of your games! _________________ Dragonsbane777 (NG hm Brd16/Wiz5 (Ill)) . . "sometimes the way to say the most, is by saying nothing at all . ."

LOL.....I have not played PnP D&D for about 21 years now not through choice, just my friends grew out of it and stuff like beer and girls got in the way.
Most of my RPG experience is through reading lots of DnD manuals and through online experience.
Played Baldurs Gate and all the expansions, Icewind Dale 1 & 2, Dungeon Siege 1 & 2, Dragonshard (wont talk about that though ) and of course Neverwinter 1 & 2.
Best character that I have played is a mind symbiant....I would find a host and take over their bodies. Would mostly leave them alone, but when it saw an opportunity to cause mischief then mind symbiant would come to life and the other players did not understand what was happening.
Going to include this character again in the PW that I am helping to build.
I nearly got back into PnP a year ago, as a work colleague of mine had played in the same group for roughly 20 years. They broke up 2 weeks after he offered me a place in their group |

I'm 28 and playing since 16 years now. I make mostly Dragonlance adventures and my Module is being made at this moment. I only lack some stuff I don't know yet. What is really great with it is that you'll see Goblins, Draconians and Ogre society. It will be an Evil town but you could be Good, Neutral or Evil(maybe Paladin is not a good choice...). It's more like a table game, with big Roleplaying, Romance(if you want) and history. I have developped this counry in Game so it is very deep with relations. I just don't know where to post my Module when it's finished... |

Damn, do I feel out of place or what? XD
I've been DM'ing for about 5 months XD!
I'm working on a campaign for NWN2 (I was working on it for NWN, but I'm switching over to NWN2. Before that I had actually been working on it with the group I was DMing for, but... well, they suck at playing. A friend of mine played a Halfling Wizard and he did better in melee combat than the one kid's half-orc barbarian...
Anyways, I've got a bit of curiosity about D&D rules before version 3.0 & 3.5, as I started with 3.5 (and later got a friend's 3.0 rulebooks XD), and hadn't played D&D before that. If anybody has any information on what it was like in comparison with 3.0/3.5 rules, I'd appreciate it <_< _________________ United States Marine Corps Poolee |

Remember the DnD first edition rules, the ones printed only on that strange white paper....I still have them and remember all too well the first dungeon I DM'ed...The Keep on the Borderlands (I think that was it's name)...I seem to remember one about Saltmarsh as well, the first British published DnD dungeon...that one was quite good, heavily balance towards RP..
We did no end of spontaneous dungeon trawling (I remember well the first gelataneous cube that nixed three of the party)..And then went onto Greyhawk with The Temple of Elemental Evil. Followed by The epic Isle of Dread. We did that one in an all day/night session from 3pm until 7am the next morning. That was in 84 I think When I left the Uk to live in France there was a haitus of about ten years (89 to 99) and then Bioware brought out Baldurs Gate, followed by Planescape : Torment (my what a game that was, still have it in my games cupboard should I feel the need) and then Icewind Dale. It all really started again with BG though which I just happened to see in a games shop while on holiday one Xmas...And the rest is of course history...well revisited history at least.. |

I am only 21 and have only played D&D for less than a year, but it feals as if I have been playing it forever. I must also live in a heavily D&D oriented area, because in my less than a year of playing D&D I have played in over a dozen campaigns in which each had around 30+ players. They also use rulebooks from Fayrun, Eberron, and Gazeteer. Some were 2nd ed and some were 3.5, none were 3.0 or 1st ed. My roommate is a professional DM that gets paid to DM campaigns in the local gameing stores and comic shops. I probably have almost every Fayrun, Eberron, and Gazeteer book in existance at my house. My roommate was also offered to have one of his custom worlds publicized including the 7 campaigns that he has build around it, unfortunatly I doubt he will ever go through the trouble it would take to gather all the information he has on it and send it in. I also know about 6 or 7 other DMs, although my roommate is by far the best that I have ever played with. D&D just seems to be a big part of my life right now and everywhere I look there is a new person that we have joining us. In the small amount of time that I have been playing, I have learned more about the game than I think I could have ever learned by just reading about it myself. |
